Dive to Thrive
Dive to Thrive.
I occasionally get asked where the name came from.
With any dive there is a great chance (especially for me) of failure - of hitting the water in an ungainly fashion, doing a belly flop or the trunks falling off. Sometimes all three. Which isn’t a great look.
But it is partly why I like it as a metaphor for how you live your life or face career challenges. Sometimes you just have to go for it and to hell with whether your trunks fall off or not.
Having a beginner’s mindset, the courage to step outside your comfort zone, and enough self-belief to take the first jump.
Although I wouldn’t advocate going straight for the top board. You still need to build skills and experience, understand your strengths, your appetite for risk and ability to bounce back from setbacks.
And Thrive?
Well this comes after the dive, often after many dives.
And the name rhymes. Who doesn’t like names that rhyme!
